Welcome to your challenge! Please make sure to have a pencil and a piece of paper to complete your research. Please be sure to read all questions and instructions carefully.
Section 1: To begin your research let's find out more about your insect! Click on the blue words to find answers to the questions.

Section 2: Let's learn about the mosquito life cycle!
1.) How many stages are in the life cycle of a mosquito? Click here to find the information.
2.) What are the names of each of the stages of a mosquito's life cycle? Click here to find the information.
3.) How long does it take for a mosquito to go through its life cycle? Click here to find the information.
4.) During a mosquito life cycle did you begin to notice that the mosquito starting looking like its
parent? If so, in which stage did you notice this? Click here to find the information.
Section 3: Draw a sketch of the life cycle of the mosquito. This will be scanned into your PowerPoint presentation. (*Hint: sketch a rough draft on notebook paper before sketching your final copy on drawing paper.) Be sure to label!
Section 4: Now it is time to put all of your findings together. You will work with your group to make a PowerPoint based on the information collected. Click here for a PowerPoint tutorial! You will be graded on the information in the PowerPoint and your actual presentation to the class with a rubric (you will find the rubric under the Evaluation tab).
Section 5: With your group write a letter to the Chattahoochee Nature Center telling them what you learned and interesting information they might want to know! Make sure to include your diagram. We will send the letter out when you complete it!
